There are many uses for vases. Whether it is made of plastic, metal or wood, they have a purpose. A wooden vase can stand by itself as a home décor. This is especially so if it is designed in a uniquely chic style. It can also be used as a container for other decorative items such as dried flowers, candles or potpourri.

The beauty of wood vases is that the colors are natural and they vary depending on the kind of wood used. It can range from the very light pinewood to medium shades of oak and the dark shades of mahogany. When sanded carefully, they turn into a smooth finish that needs only a thin layer of varnish for protection and added sheen. Wooden vases are hardly destructible, except maybe by fire. However, they should be handled with care as some woods are prone to chipping.
