In buying appliances, look for the green tag which means they are environment friendly. These are home items that provide real home energy savings. Though they sometimes cost more expensive than the regular appliances, they tend to save more for a longer period of time. It really pays to buy an energy-efficient appliance. There’s a wide range available in the market. Just choose the ones that you’re sure will keep you company for years.

Not everybody can buy energy efficient appliances right away. While raising the funds to purchase them, check on these following guidelines:

~ survey your incandescent lights for opportunities to replace them with compact fluorescents (CFLs) these can save tree-fourths of the electric bill
~ check the age condition from your appliances especially your ref for replacement suggestions
~ tidy up your place and replace airconditioner and heat-pump filters
~don’t use the microwave too often
