Our most common use for the lamp is as a source of light. They come in all designs – floor lamp, table touch lamp, decorative wall lamp. They may also be differentiated according to their source of energy. We have the common electric lamp, oil lamp or lamp that uses candles. Aside from being a functional light source, lamps are also decorative pieces. We sometimes set them up in a corner to provide a soft glow to a darkened corner.

There are other uses of the lamp. Some lamps are used as a heat source. You will find them in restaurants keeping food warm. Heat lamps are also great to install in bathrooms. They will keep you warm as you dry yourself from your shower. Portable heating lamps can be used outdoors, by the pool or in the patio.
