Plan your room so that there is natural lighting during the daytime. Smaller lights such as sconces may be placed around the edges of the room. Recessed lighting in the ceiling or a novelty lamp on a utility table will make a lot of difference. You will also need adequate storage for all the games that you will be collecting. Don’t forget to hang a chalkboard to keep tabs of the scores.
The size of your game room will depend on the activities that you plan to do in it. A billiard or pool table can easily be the center piece. If you plan on setting up darts, allow for some space. Remember that having fun presupposes having beverages readily available. Keeping a small fridge well stocked will make everybody happy.
