discount novelty lamps
The lava lamp was invented in the 1960s by Edward Craven Walker, an Englishman born in Singapore. A U.S. Patent application for this “Display Device” was filed in 1965 and eventually issued three years after. Over time, it has changed into new shapes and colors. The lamp contains an incandescent bulb that heats a tapered glass bottle of water and often a combination of wax and carbon tetrachloride. There is a metallic wire coil at the base that adds to the heat convection resulting in suspended drops of wax.
If you are into unique-looking lamps, there are lots of discount novelty lamps that can be purchased online. They come in a wide array of styles and not just as lava lamps.
