When I was pregnant with my first baby, I went shopping for baby clothes and accessories on my ninth month. I wanted to make sure I knew the baby’s gender first before I furnished the nursery. I received tons of advice, some I asked for and others unsolicited. My friends all gave me advice on cribs, strollers, crib mattresses, diaper brands, changing mats, diaper bags, and many more. I listened to all of them and I decided that I would only buy the basics.
When it came to choosing a crib, the salespeople at the store kept on showing us all the styles. They showed us the portable cribs, folding cribs and playpens that they called cribs. We decided on a wooden rectangular crib. After that we bought crib mattresses in two different colors. We had one mattress for the crib and an extra one for the floor so we could play with our baby on the carpeted floor of our nursery.
