Get your dream garage without spending tons of money. If you are handy with tools, you can build your garage yourself instead of hiring a contactor and paying more. You simply have to make sound garage construction plans before you get going. With this, you will be able to monitor your budget better and estimate the costs earlier.
Note though that you will need the help of at least half a dozen people to tilt up the walls. Call on burly friends and family members to lend a hand. Remember to build the garage door wall without the beam in place to avoid making it too top heavy to erect. Have the beam sized by an engineer then slide and fasten it in place after the wall is up and braced.
