Starting Out in the Real World

Ever since I started working, I’ve considered moving into a new place nearer to the office. It would definitely save me time and money, so I went about looking for apartments I could rent. When my parents found out, they were a bit apprehensive. I just moved back in with them after I finished college, and I guess they still think I can’t take care of myself. After much talk and debate, I finally convinced them to let me go.
Moving day came and my father was very willing to help me pack and load my things in the car. He even let me use a wood berry basket from his produce stand to store my things. After a few hours, I was finally in my new apartment. It was an exciting and scary thing, but now at least I can start living my own life and following my dreams. My parents are still a bit worried that the city would eat me alive though. Maybe I’ll let them pamper me when they come and visit.
