Home decorating is a very personal thing. I don’t think there are any two homes that look exactly alike. Even home developments with exactly the same house designs become entirely different once the homeowner has done his furnishing and decorating. Unless you look hard enough, you will not be able to see the common features in these homes. There are so many facets of traditional home décor that acquires an entirely different look once homeowners have applied their personal choices.

In the strictest sense, traditional home decorating is consistent with a certain period in history. It may be Georgian, Victorian or Spanish Colonial. It is characterized by polished original pieces or good quality reproductions. Traditional home decorating has evolved into a fresher more modern look with more classic designs. There is more emphasis on comfort rather than on sophistication.
