Reed diffusers

These little jars with fragrance oil and pieces of reed are the best alternative to lighting fragrance candles. Reed diffusers are safer than candles. You can leave them in a room the whole time and not worry about causing accidents. They are as much a decorative piece as wonderful aromatic devices. They are safe to use in any room and will not create soot or wax drippings that need to be tidied up from time to time.

The sticks that you see in the bottle are reeds that are so structured that they are able to pull fragrance from the bottle and diffuse it around the room. These are very porous and are great diffusers of fragrance. A cross section of the reed will show tiny holes where the fragrance passes to the top of the reed before being released into the air. What a nice feeling to step into a room and notice a faint hint of fragrance. It can be uplifting, relaxing, romantic and cheerful.
