My uncle loves the sea. He has a boat and goes fishing every chance he gets. He even has a room in his house that is decorated with nautical home decor. He has fish hanging in his wall. He also has an authentic porthole from a ship that he bought in an auction.
Very few people can get away with nautical theme room. Probably only captains or admirals can pull it off. If you still want to have a nautical theme make sure you don’t go overboard. Nautical home décor are like rich foods. Too much of it will make you sick. A few pieces is enough for a nautical room.
