green living
When Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” became a worldwide hit, more and more people began to acknowledge the importance of caring for the environment. These days, everywhere we go, we are reminded of how we can play our part in saving the environment. Retail shops have traded plastic bags for tote bags made of canvas and other materials. Several publications, movements and websites have devoted their time and effort to encourage people to go green. All these groups and movement are devoted to educate people to a life of green living.
Green living involves taking steps to ensure that what we do in our daily lives contribute to saving the environment. There are so many things simple things that you can do to live green. You can start by turning off unnecessary lights, carpooling and bringing a big tote bag instead to the grocery so you don’t use plastic bags. You can also replace aerosols with organic and natural air fresheners and insect repellents. Another alternative would be to install solar panels in your homes so you use less electric power.
