glass perfume bottles

Glass artists of perfume bottles make their works of art by choosing the best textured tube for their designs. Next, they draw the designs on the tube as a pattern so that the tube can be cut into pieces to fit them. They then begin firing the glass and shaping the various pieces of the glass perfume bottles. The fire makes the glass very flexible as it is almost liquid at 1000 degree Centigrade.

Artists use a number of small tools while the glass is constantly rotated as an artist blows air through it quickly and precisely to get the exact shape he wants. Afterwards, another craftsman would take over to engrave the shaped glass with designs. A third craftsman may also apply coloring to the perfume bottle as it is turned on a rotating wheel to distribute colors smoothly and evenly.
