Digital wall clocks

It is interesting to note how time keeping has evolved from the sundials of our great ancestors to the modern designs that we see in stores now. Sundials used the sun and the shadow produced by the absence of sunrays to tell the time of day. It has limitations in that it is available only in the daytime. I have also wondered about the accuracy of the time dictated by the sundial. It has nevertheless served its purpose in those times.

These days, digital clocks have taken over the time keeping function. Digital wall clocks can be seen everywhere. They exude a certain kind of streamlined look as opposed to the decorative look of analog clocks. A digital clock will tell you the time accurate to the minutest second. For this reason, they have a purpose that is not available in the analog clock. It can be used as a timer or a stopwatch.
