hugger ceiling fan

A hugger ceiling fan is also known as a low profile ceiling fan. It is installed so close to the ceiling without the fan blades scraping it. This is ideal for rooms with lower ceilings. This type of fan cannot be used for rooms with vaulted ceilings though.
 
A ceiling fan in cold climates may disperse heat to warm up the room. The warm air that rises toward the ceiling is dispersed downward.
