Thread count in sheets can range from 80 to 700, although the one commonly available range from 180 to 320. The higher the thread count, the softer the fabric feels. However, they are also heavier and can be a bit more difficult to manage. In looking for good quality beddings, it is important also to check if seams are properly sewn and that the manufacturer did not scrimp on the fabric such that it does not cover the whole side of the mattress.
