Bath towels are items that we always watch out for when stores offer them on sale. We brave the crowd to get a stack of immaculate white, printed or monogrammed bath towels. If only they did not take so much space in our cabinets, we will probably be getting more. We also join the line for luxury bath towels. They make great gifts and it is a good thing to have some in our gifts cabinet.
The most important feature of any towel is its fiber content. Most towels are made of cotton or cotton blends. The quality level of cotton is based on the length of its staple or fiber. The longer the staples the more luxurious, durable and absorbent the cotton will be. The towel’s absorbency will stay longer if you avoid using a fabric softener on them. It tends to coat the fabric, lessening absorbency.
