Different people appreciate different types of art. Classical art, for one, is defined by most art galleries as those made before WW2. During the invasion of Europe, most of the European art were either destroyed by bombs or looted by the Nazis. After the war, efforts were made by representatives of different countries in Europe to retrieve these pieces and restore them to their original beauty.

Since most of these artworks were already damaged, there are now less of the paintings done by the classical masters that can be appreciated by the younger generations. It’s a good thing that many aspiring artists are on the rise and introduced the production of contemporary art. This type of art usually represents modern scenery and people and has generated a following of its own.
